Fix 02 of 04 · Website

The website works against you.

Wrong hours. No way to book. A design from 2016 you’d rather people didn’t see.

You’ll recognize it if

  • Your Google listing and your website disagree about your hours.
  • People call to ask something the site should have answered.
  • You’ve said “don’t look at the website” out loud.

What gets built

  • A small, fast site, usually four pages: what you do, prices, hours and where to find you, how to book or get a quote.
  • Built to load instantly on a phone, because that’s where people find you. No page builder, no plugins, nothing to break.
  • Matched to your Google Business Profile so the hours, the address and the photos agree.
  • Your domain, in your name. Hosting that costs nothing a month.
  • Hours change? Text me, and it’s live the same day. Bigger changes get a small quote. Never a retainer.

On the record

  • 50 ms

is how long people took to form a stable opinion of whether a web page looked good. A twentieth of a second, before reading anything.

  • 46%

of the comments people made while judging whether a business’s website was credible were about how it looked. Design was the single most-cited factor.

How it goes

Week one

I need photos of the place and the work, or I take them during the day. Your hours, prices and services, in your words. Logins for your domain and Google listing, or I set them up in your name.

Week two

You see a draft, and we spend an hour on it together. One round of changes.

Week three

It’s live. I show you how it’s put together and where everything lives.

What you own

All of it. The files, the domain, the hosting account. If we never speak again, the site keeps working.
